Drawing from her Kenyan heritage, Ruth incorporates a global perspective into her projects, enabling her to design spaces that are not only accessible but also uniquely styled. She prioritizes sustainability by thoughtfully blending contemporary elements with antique and vintage pieces, and utilizes recycled and upcycled materials to create a refined yet enduring aesthetic.

As the co-owner of Dwellness by Steinmetz in Winooski, Vermont, Ruth takes joy in designing and curating lifestyle pieces. In her role as principal designer at Steinmetz Interiors, she collaborates closely with skilled craftsmen, makers, and fellow designers to realize spaces that reflect the essence of true dwellness.
